Application Note: A Design Methodology for the Implementation of Embedded Vehicle Navigation Systems

This application note presents a design methodology of a navigation system that integrates a global positioning system (GPS) and inertial navigation system (INS) on a field programmable gate array (FPGA). The design targets the MicroBlaze embedded processor from Xilinx Inc. Three configurations are implemented and compared.
