Product Description
Prepared by Ahmed Elhossini, PhD Candidate, and Medhat Moussa, Associate Professor, both from the School of Engineering, University of Guelph.
This application note describes the development of an integrated, standalone vision system--a system created by integrating a circuit board equipped with a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) with multiple cameras. This vision system primarily targets microsystems researchers who are designing integrated FPGA and Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) hybrid systems and who wish to integrate small camera(s) in their design with minor modifications.
This vision system can also be used by researchers in other fields such as robotics and medical imaging, where real-time complex image processing is required in an embedded standalone format.
All CMC Microsystem account holders with a Prototyping or Designer Subscription are authorized to access this application note. For more information contact Linda Dougherty at licensing@cmc.ca or 613-530-4787.
