Description
Prepared by Weijie Wan, PhD candidate, and John T. W. Yeow, Professor, both from Systems Design Engineering Department, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, in co-operation with CMC Microsystems.
This application note describes how to construct a microchip polymerase chain reaction (PCR) system in an easy, convenient, and inexpensive way. It is intended for researchers and engineers working on PCR applications, and for research laboratories to avoid large investment in commercial PCR machines. Researchers working on the integration of multiple functions on a Lab-on-a-Chip device will also find it helpful.
