Description
Prepared by Albert I. H. Chen and Manu Pallapa, PhD candidates under the supervision of Dr. John Yeow, Department of Systems Design Engineering, Advanced Micro/Nano Devices Lab, University of Waterloo, in co-operation with CMC Microsystems.
This application note describes the detailed design and implementation of a LabVIEW field programmable gate array (FPGA) for a MEMS-based ultrasound imaging system. The LabVIEW FPGA target is a National Instrument (NI) FlexRIO FPGA module (NI 7954) with a digitizer adapter (NI 5752), installed in a PXI chassis. The LabVIEW FPGA design described in this document is used for the real-time 3-D ultrasound imaging system test described in another application note titled "Real-Time 3-D Ultrasound Imaging System with Row-Column Addressing Scheme ", which also provides the background and methodology information.
The downloadable items include the document and a design file.
